Dr. Vanderhoof completed her undergraduate studies in Biological Sciences with a minor in Spanish at Oklahoma State University in 2001. She graduated from University of Missouri College of Optometry in St. Louis in 2005. She completed a residency in ocular and refractive surgery at the Wang Vision Institute in Nashville, TN and became clinical director until she moved to Denver in 2010.

Aside from providing excellent primary care, Dr. Vanderhoof specializes in post surgical management and complex contact lens fittings for the irregular cornea including Keratoconus. She has published many articles and book chapters on the subject and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry.

She enjoys hiking and skiing with her family. She is always practicing and learning more Spanish and has recently taken on German.
